Sir I was interested in setting up of PET moulding plant at my place in India. Sir can you please provide me the required info regarding this plant including the capital cost requirement and space required in standard capacity plant.

PET is hygroscopic material. PET granuales first dried before process to less than 50ppm from the resin contained 5000 ppm. Then it is sheared and heated to inject in the mold by injection unit to form a preform (tubular shape). Prefrom is either cooled t room temperature (two stage) or colled just enough to blow (single stage). The prefrom is then stertch and blow to form a biaxial oriented product i.e. containers.

For the Course Industrial Chemistry, we have to explain a flowsheet of a certain productionproces. We have chosen to explain the production of PET and we have allready found a flowsheet, but is it possible to get a bit more information about the proces? Or is there a person we may contact with our questions about certain steps in the proces?
